At 7:08 p.m. on February 15, Masteel (Hefei) Coke Dry Quenching Relocation Project jointly undertaken by Huatai and Baosteel Engineering Technology Group Co., Ltd. as the general contractor, successfully generated power and was connected to the grid.

Embodying the corporate spirit of “rigor and pragmatism, collaboration and innovation, integrity and mutual benefit”, the project team worked overtime and dedicated themselves to meticulous preparation. They conducted item-by-item commissioning of the generator unit, excitation system, grid-connection procedures, and generator interlock tripping system and performed simulated standard operations and supervision in strict compliance with grid-connection operational protocols. Upon confirmation for system integrity, the grid-connection command was issued and operators executed the procedures with precision and in one seamless operation, achieving successful power generation and grid connection on the first attempt.

The successful power generation and grid connection brought the coke dry coking project to a perfect conclusion.
